This caught my attention because i am so sensitive to noise; the constant loud aircraft overhead jets & planes (Boeing/military/local airport; i’m near them all) – highway traffic -land clearing & mass construction is going on no holds barred around here + tons of roadwork – recycling plant down the road – along with weed eaters, lawn mowers, saws etc. are things i’m exposed to every day. And the article notes that if you are in a high noise area, you are also exposed to air pollution; yes Seattle and surrounding areas are very polluted also. So you have a double whammy. I don’t think i have hearing loss ; but my heart sure feels the stress. I don’t doubt that the noise/air pollution combo is hard on the heart….
People who suffer from high-frequency hearing loss in both ears were twice as likely to also have coronary heart disease compared to those with normal hearing.
