Purdue Pharma started marketing OxyCotin in the 1990’s; that’s when the problems started.  Kentucky is a poster child for the epidemic of addiction and death resulting from over prescribing this opiate.  It also has the status of being a much sought after street drug.  Kentucky has filed a lawsuit against the pharmaceutical company for all the pain they’ve caused in their state.
